Poetry, prose, and quotes often have different meanings or interpretations based on the reader’s life experiences. Below, I have offered my initial inference of what the words above mean to me. Please feel free to leave yours in the comments section so that other readers might realize a more diverse interpretation. (The context in which the words may have been originally presented, and by whom, are not the primary issues, just what the words might mean to us, or for us, individually, in the now.)

My interpretation of this quote: Action is the key to success in every pursuit. Even if we choose poor action, because we have overcome inertia, we are quite likely to correct the poor action and proceed to productive action.

I read Cheryl Strayed’s book Wild, fear is discussed at length. Fear being an emotion needs to be felt not avoided. So looking it head on, walking with it then passing it as you let it go. Fear can be a tremendous confidence boost when applied with action.

Okay, another book to add to my reading que. Interesting. Having dealt with much personal fear and its limiting effects throughout my life, I’m having a hard time thinking of fear as boosting confidence. Thanks, Robyn, for supplying a different perspective. Be well. 🙂 ~Paul
