  1. I am inspired with this post, and I would like to share my opinion – Goal setting is usually a common dilemma in today’s society.Individuals understand that goal setting is definitely an essential part of everyday life, yet we lack vision and the drive to execute the goals we have set.Sometimes we set objectives that are too grand to accomplish in one major swoop. Whilst having large dreams considerable, and a good step in goal setting, achieving a major ideal takes time and effort.

  2. Scott,

Thanks much for your comment. Sorry it took a while for it to get approved. Not sure why, but it ended up in the spam folder. I almost discarded it.

I think most would agree with what you said; “we lack vision and the drive to execute the goals we have set.Sometimes we set objectives that are too grand to accomplish in one major swoop. Whilst having large dreams considerable, and a good step in goal setting, achieving a major ideal takes time and effort.” However, I’m a HUGE believer in re-assessing the definition of a goal. Goals should be very specific, short term, and support our “large dreams” and “major ideals,” as well as our major objectives.

This way, we accomplish goals often and are energized by our success. Also, in my opinion, we shouldn’t be “setting” goals, we should be “declaring” goals, goals that we WILL accomplish, not may accomplish. I could go on and on…but it will all be in my upcoming book.

    Thanks again for your input.
