Goal Achievement Quote – June 28, 2012

“If you have a dream, give it a chance to happen.”
—Richard DeVos

Poetry, prose, and quotes often have different meanings or interpretations based on the reader’s life experiences. Below, I have offered my initial inference of what the words above mean to me. Please feel free to leave yours in the comments section so that other readers might realize a more diverse interpretation. (The context in which the words may have been originally presented, and by whom, are not the primary issues, just what the words might mean to us, or for us, individually, in the now.)

My interpretation of this quote: Believe in yourself, your ideas, and your abilities enough to make the investment and to take the risk to go after what you want.

What’s yours? (post in comments section below)

Enjoy today.
Achieve today.
Tomorrow is promised to no one!

  1. Wow. Another amazing quote. I love your interpretation, as I do on all of your selected quotes. This one reminds me that our dreams sometimes take their own time but we must keep dreaming them. This gives me hope for some of my dreams that haven’t appeared yet. And reminds me to be ever so thankful that I was reunited with my now-husband nearly thirty years after we were best friends as kids. Destined to be soul mates. Dreams sometimes take time to arrive. Thanks Paul, for another wonderfully thought provoking quote! ~Gina
