Goal Achievement Quote – July 15, 2012

“If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold you head high, look it squarely in the eye and say, ‘I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.’”
—Ann Landers

My interpretation of this quote: It is impossible to become successful alone. Other people are always necessary in one capacity or another. Also, we’ll enjoy our success more and live longer. (imho)

Goal Achievement Quote – July 9, 2012

“We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us — how we can take it, what we do with it — and that is what really counts in the end. How to take the raw stuff of life and make it a thing of worth and beauty — that is the test of living.”
—Joseph Fort Newton

Goal Achievement Quote – July 4, 2012

“Every man is the architect of his own life. He builds it just the way he wants it. However, after he has built what he wants, he sometimes decides that he doesn’t like what he has built and looks for someone or something to blame instead of changing himself.”
—Sidney Madwed

My interpretation of this quote: There is no one to blame but our self if we are not satisfied with the results we have attained so far in life. We are responsible for our choices. We, also, are the only ones who can change course and create more satisfactory results …if we’re willing to do what it takes.

Goal Achievement Quote – July 3, 2012

“Make a careful list of all things done to you that you abhorred. Don’t do them to others, ever. Make another list of things done for you that you loved. Do them for others, always.”

Goal Achievement Quote – June 19, 2012

“If we do not rise to the challenge of our unique capacity to shape our lives, to seek the kinds of growth that we find individually fulfilling, then we can have no security: we will live in a world of sham, in which our selves are determined by the will of others, in which we will be constantly buffeted and increasingly isolated by the changes round us.”
—Nena O’Neil

My interpretation of this quote: We each possess a distinct and unique set of skills that can, if nurtured and developed, steer us towards success and happiness. It is always our choice as individuals to willfully develop our personal potential …or not. If we choose ‘not,’ our options and choices throughout life are substantially more limited.

Goal Achievement Quote 2/14/12

“To love another, we must first be able to love our self. Both are required for sustained success and happiness in life. Our most important goal then, should be to become—and stay—an individual worthy of self-love.”
